Artist's Statement:

Some years ago, when I saw images of a woman photographer’s journey to Central America, I left her exhibit saying, “I want to do that!” Almost 30 years later, with several stops along the way, I am now traveling and taking photos.

My digital camera, though, has made all the difference. The LCD screen is the best translator of languages. I have many images of people who had never before seen a photo of themselves.
My recent trips have been to Machu Picchu, Peru, the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, Southeast Asia: Cambodia, Vietnam,Thailand and Laos; China; Bhutan; The Middle East (Egypt, Israel, and Jordan).

I am happy to share these images of the faces & places from another part of the world.
